Bob King
Senior Vice President, Convergence Claria Corp.

Bob brings more than 20 years of experience in business and product management with companies including Motorola, General Instrument, ACTV and SAIC. Prior to joining Claria, Bob was with Vulcan Inc. in Paul Allen's Technology Research & Development Group. There, he worked with portfolio companies to identify technology partnerships in the consumer electronic space, and investigated new technologies relating to broadband, software and content distribution. While at Vulcan, Bob co-Founded HANA, High Definition Network Alliance - the first industry alliance that includes content, distribution, CE and IT companies.

Previously, Bob was Senior V.P., Business & Product Development for Magis Networks, Inc. He was responsible for establishing Magis' key strategic partners and investors, including Motorola, AOLTW, Sanyo, Hitachi, Panasonic and Vulcan. Magis developed the first 5Ghz video networking chip design for media distribution.

In 1992, Bob established and built the Private Networks Business Unit for General Instrument Corporation (now Motorola). He successfully introduced the first wireless video/data broadband products to Fortune 50 companies. This was one of GI's most profitable business units during Bob's tenure.

Bob served seven years with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), where he held numerous divisional and corporate positions including Director, Telecommunications and Information Systems. He was responsible for the first contracts in the commercial telecommunications/information systems marketplaces for SAIC. He led SAIC's key partnerships with HP, Sun, Sprint and Bellcore in 1989 (acquired by SAIC in 1996). During that time, Bob also served on the executive committee for Advanced Intelligent Networks (AIN) at Bellcore (Telcordia).
